Jean Cormier

Jean gets most experienced by building relationships with other people. Almost every meaningful experience in Jean’s life has been connected with someone else. She says that thankfully, she has had the pleasure of being able to do this throughout her career in human resources.

After graduating from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she went abroad and taught English in a French high school. There she learned how to connect across a language barrier (and developed a love of great food).

These interests in teaching and connectivity led her to her profession, connecting the right people with the right jobs. It also brought her to Durham, a foodie haven and where her family has put down roots in her newly renovated old home.

“OnPulse is place where those interests converge,” says Jean. “It’s also a place built in Durham, in an old rescued auto dealership, surrounded by some yummy eateries. But, more importantly, it includes a group of people committed to the idea that great collaboration can happen around health care.” For Jean, it means working at a place that celebrates work life balance because the work being done will affect the way I can take care of her family’s health as well.
